Refugee Legal Aid Information for Lawyers Representing Refugees Globally

France Pro Bono Directory

Click here to see the numbers and origins of refugees hosted by France.

As UNHCR statistics generally rely on data from host countries, statistics on refugees alone can give an insufficient account of refugee numbers, as some host countries will not grant refugee status to certain groups. Including statistics for individuals in refugee-like situations is an attempt to account for unrecognised refugees and does not include internally displaced persons. Statistics for stateless refugees are included if available.

Tel: the phone numbers of the local branches can be found on the website, going down on the left column

RESF is a structure which brings together, in an informal manner, professors, pupils’ parents, pupils themselves when of age, and all those who do not accept the idea that young people and/or their parents can be deported only on the pretext that they are foreigners and undocumented. RESF contributes to mobilise the school and extra-curricular environment to avoid expulsions and grant the regularisation of young adults who have attended school, and of undocumented parents of children who are going to school. Although RESF does at time use legal means, its principal force resides in its capacity to mobilise, reflecting the evolution of the population which now knows, assumes and even claim to be, of mixed race.
